UDHAMPUR, Sept 7: Police solved hit and run case with the arrest of four persons.
As per police spokesman, On August 31 this year, an information was received at Police Station Udhampur that a Swift Dzire car bearing registration number JK14G 4725 speed off after hitting a pedestrian.
Acting over the information, a case under FIR Number 462/2020 under sections 279, 337 and 304-A was registered and a team from Police Station Udhampur swung into action and the pedestrian was shifted to District Hospital Udhampur where the doctor declared him brought dead.
The deceased was identified as Chartered Accountant Anil Verma, son of Satpaul Verma of Housing Colony, Udhampur.
Police seized the vehicle from the spot and during the course of enquiry, a team from Police Station Udhampur arrested four persons involved in the hit and run case.
The arrested persons were identified as Sahil Kumar alias Chidu, son of Balvinder Kumar alias Veera of Sambal Dunga, Varinder Singh alias Kaka, son of Bahadur Singh of Sambal Dunga, Rohit Sharma alias Chittu, son of Rattan Lal of near Women College Udhampur and Imran Khan, son of Jamil Ahmed of Sial Sallan Udhampur. ś
