JAMMU, Nov 21: Two motorcyclists got seriously injured when their two-wheeler was hit by a passenger vehicle near Marble Market area, falling under the jurisdiction of Channi Himmat Police Station.
As per reports, two youths identified as Anurup, son of Dhani Ram, resident of Greater Kailash and Ranbir Singh, son of Nirmal Singh of Trikuta Nagar were critically injured, when the motorcycle (JK02U-6659) they were riding on was hit by a Tata winger bearing registration number JK02BB-2106 near Marble Market area, falling under the jurisdiction of Channi Himmat Police Station.
The accident was so potent that the two-wheeler caught fire soon after the mishap. The driver however managed to escape from the spot along with the vehicle.
The motorcyclists were rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where their condition was stated to be out of danger when last reports came in.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Channi Himmat Police Station and manhunt has been launched to arrest the absconding driver of the passenger vehicle.
However, the driver was at large when the reports were compiled.
