Hit & run case solved; accused driver arrested

JAMMU, Nov 28: Bishnah Police solved a hit and run case with the arrest of accused driver.
As per police sources, driver of a Van bearing registration number JK14B-1242 hit a motorcyclist near Chak Chimna area of tehsil Bishnah and escaped from the spot.
The motorcyclist namely Sanjeev Kumar, son of Roop Lal of Village Chakra Tehsil Bishnah District Jammu died on the spot.
After completing medical and legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to family members for last rites.
However, a case under FIR Number 170/2021 under Sections 279 and 304-A IPC was registered at Police Station Bishnah and hunt was launched to nab the accused Van driver.
On specific information, a team from Police Station Bishnah led by SHO Inspector Joginder Singh under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Shabir Khan arrested the accused driver, who was identified as Davinder Kumar Sharma, son of Kasturi Lal Sharma of Village Khour Salaria Tehsil. Ramgarh, District Samba.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
