UDHAMPUR, June 29: The 3-day historic Sudhmahadev Mela concluded with traditional fervor and gaiety at Chenani.
During the three day Mela devotees paid obeisance at the abode of Shiva in the Sudhmahadev temple after taking bath in the holy spring situated at the entrance of the temple.
During the festival, the artists of the surrounding areas turned up in large numbers and presented folk songs highlighting various aspects of religious beliefs with special reference to Lord Shiva.
A number of temporary sweet shops, toy shops and eateries set up by the locals and outside vendors were the main attraction for the visitors. Children were seen enjoying the joy rides.
Mela Officer, Tehsildar Chenani Pardeep Singh managed arrangements for the comfortable pilgrimage to the shrine.
The district administration Udhampur had made elaborated arrangements of security, drinking water, power supply, medicare, traffic regulation, additional bus services and stock of commodities for the three-day festival.
