Historic Mughal road to reopen on Monday after four months

SRINAGAR: The 84-km-long historic Mughal road will reopen for traffic from Monday after remaining closed for about four months due to accumulation of more than five feet of snow at several places.

An official spokesman said here this evening that  Mughal road, connecting Shopian in south Kashmir with Rajouri and Poonch in Jammu region will open for one-way traffic on Monday.

He said that the traffic will be allowed strictly from 0900 hrs to 1600 hrs in view of weather conditions and other related issues at higher reaches. (AGENCIES)
