JAMMU, Nov 27: Hindi Nav Lekhak Shivir organized by Central Hindi Directorate (Union Ministry of Higher Education, New Delhi) in collaboration with Rashtra Bhasha Prachar Samiti Jammu concluded here at MAM College.
The concluding function was graced by prolific litterateur Padamshri Jitendra Udhampuri as chief guest who also shared his valuable inputs with the participants about literature and importance of Hindi as a language in uniting nation.
He said that it is an appreciable step by Central Hindi Directorate to organize such camps in non-Hindi speaking regions wherein the aspiring talent gets enriched from interaction with eminent literary personalities from outside the region and local litterateurs.
Earlier, Prof. Surinder Sharma, Principal MAM College delivered welcome address.
Special Edition ‘Sanskriti Visheshank’ of Amar Setu, a quarterly magazine published by Rashtra Bhasha Prachar Samiti, Jammu was also released on this occasion.
Three prominent writers Dr. P.A Radhakrishnan from Kerala, Dr. Kanhaiyalal Bhatt from Ahmedabad and Dr. Adarsh Prakash from Udhampur were present as experts.
The camp had also the services of six local litterateurs Prof. Rajkumar, S. Pritpal Singh , Prof. Veena Gupta, Dr. Arvinder Singh ‘Amn’, Rajeshwar Singh ’Raju’ and Prof. Sanjay Samyal.
Nathu Lal, Assistant Director, Central Hindi Directorate while speaking on the occasion said the focal point of such initiatives is to promote national language Hindi in the regions where it is comparatively less spoken.
Prof. Bhartat Bhushan Sharma, Secretary Rashtra Bhasha Prachar Samiti Jammu presented vote of thanks. The camp was coordinated by Prof. Sanjay Samyal.
