JAMMU, Nov 18: Performance review meeting of Jammu Division was chaired by Dr.Hina Shafi Bhat, Vice Chairperson (VC) Khadi and Village Industries Board (KVIB) at Udhyog Bhawan Jammu. The meeting was attended by Secretary/CEO J&K KVIB and other senior officers of the Board. During the meeting, it was divulged that during the current financial year margin money to the tune of Rs 86.16 crore involving bank loan of Rs. 286 crore has been released for establishment of 3914 units. During the period employment opportunities for 31312 persons were created and further envisaging employment opportunities for more than one lakh persons by the end of current financial year.
Vice Chairperson stressed the need for active involvement of field officers in propagating and disseminating the aims and objectives of JKREGP and PMEGP Schemes amongst all sections of the society. Dr. Hina advised district officers to follow up the cases at bank level and ensure that instances of bank rejection are minimized. She advised district officers to work in close coordination with banks and allied agencies to ensure maximum participation of youth and aspirants.
Later Hina Bhat along with CEO J&K KVIB visited some of the units established in urban areas of Jammu district. While lauding efforts of officers, she underlined the need to ensure quality sponsorship preferably under priority sector, so that success stories are created in due course of time.
