High Court Bar Association elections to be held in March

JAMMU, Jan 12: J&K High Court Bar Association Jammu has decided to conduct elections in the middle of March this year and only the lawyers practicing at Jammu would be given the voting rights.
The decision was taken in the Special General House meeting of the Bar held under the chairmanship of Senior Advocate Ved Raj Wazir, Chairman, Presidium, J&K High Court Bar Association.
The meeting was attended by majority of the members of the Bar and members of the Presidum namely S D S Saini, Surinder Singh, M K Bhardwaj, Sunil Sethi, M A Goni, Radha Sharma, Mandep Reen, Pawan Manni and Nitin Bakshi.
In the Special General House, the members of the Presidium were authorized to utilize 1/4th of Bar Funds for providing financial assistance to the needy members of the Bar Association.
The proceedings were conducted by Pawan Manni, Member Secretary Presidium.
