Hideout busted in Rajouri, RPG grenade, arms recovered

 

JAMMU: Army on Monday busted a terrorist hideout and recovered cache of arms and ammunition including one Rocket Propelled Grenade in a remote belt of Rajouri district.

“On specific inputs, a joint search operation was launched by the Army and a team of Jammu and Kashmir Police,” defence spokesman here aid. He said the search team busted a cache of weapons and ammunition in Gamir-Mughla bowl around Thanamandi in Rajouri district.

“During the search operation One Rocket Propelled Grenade, one AK-47, two pistols and sizeable quantity of AK and PIKA ammunition were recovered,” said the spokesman.

He added that the successful operation has foiled the nefarious designs of terrorists and the inimical elements who, may be linked with terrorist related activities primarily to vitiate the existing security environment in the twin districts of Rajouri and Poonch. (AGENCIES)
