Hi-tech diagnostic equipments inaugurated at KLSM Rotary Eye & ENT Hospital

UDHAMPUR, June 25: Hi-tech diagnostic ophthalmic equipments were installed and dedicated to the patients at KLSM Rotary Eye & ENT Hospital Udhampur.
The new equipments i.e Optical Coherence Tomography & Zeiss Visucam – 524 Fundus Camera with ICG Module along with other equipments was procured at a cost of Rs 51 lakh. These equipments were installed by the engineers of Carl Zeiss India Private Limited.
A colourful function was organized to dedicate these equipments in the service of humanity by the Rotarians. District Governor RI District 3070 Barjesh Singhal and DRFC PDG Upkar Singh Sethi switched on the equipments to serve the humanity at a very affordable cost and even free for those who are not in a position to pay.
The patients suffering with Diabetic Retinopathy will be the most beneficiary of these equipments. At present there are a large number of patients suffering with Diabetic Retinopathy and such patients has to be referred to other part of J&K state to avail this facility.
These Hi-Tech eye diagnostic equipments were sponsored by Rotary Foundation of Rotary International, Rotary district 3070 (India), 3141 (Mumbai), 6650 (USA) and by different clubs i.e Rotary Club Udhampur, Rotary Club Mumbai Down Town Sea Land, Rotary Club Pune Far East, Rotary Club Plain Township, Rotary Club of Jammu, Jammu City, Rajouri, Akhnoor and Inner Wheel Club Udhampur under Global Grant No 1875576.
With the addition of these facilities, the patients suffering with various eye ailments especially in diabetic patients will be treated at KLSM Rotary Eye & ENT Hospital Udhampur at a very affordable cost. During inauguration of function large number of Rotarians from Rajouri, Jammu, Jammu City, Jammu Tawi, Jammu Aastha, Akhnoor were present on this occasion.
Members of Rotary Club Udhampur VS Raja, Rajendra Sanson, SS Kerni, Puran Lal Sharma, Jasbir Singh, Manjeet Singh, Col Hargovind Sing, Jugal Kishore Gupta, Inner Wheel Club members of Udhampur, senior citizens of Udhampur, prominent citizens, staff of Rotary Hospital Udhampur and public were also present in this function. Dev Raj Gupta (Chairman) and Satish Chopra (member of Martyr Captain Tushar Mahajan Memorial Charitable Trust) were also present on the occasion.
