UDHAMPUR, July 30: Udhampur Police today arrested a narcotic smuggler and seized six gms of contraband substance Chitta (heroin) from his possession.
The accused, identified as Akhilesh Sharma alias Leshi, son of Vipin Kumar of Ward number 02, Indra Nagar, Udhampur, was intercepted by a Police party led by SHO Udhampur, Inspector Vijay Choudhary and SI Jaswinder Singh, IC PP Roundomail,
which had laid a naka at Dhar Road, under the supervision of Kulbir Handa, DySP HQ.
In this connection, a case FIR number 377/2018 under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Udhampur and further investigation of the case is taken up.
