UDHAMPUR, Sept 1: Udhampur Police today seized 20 gms of contraband substance (Chitta) from two narcotic smugglers near Omara Morh, Udhampur.
Giving details, SSP Udhampur Rayees Mohammad Bhat said that acting on a reliable information, a party of PS Udhampur, led by SHO Vijay Singh Choudhary, under the supervision of Kulbir Handa, DySP Hqrs. Udhampur, laid a surprise naka near Omara Morh Udhampur. During naka checking, police party intercepted two suspects and subjected them to thorough search. During their search, 20 gms of heroin (Chitta) was recovered from their possession.
The identity of these narcotic smugglers was established as Pritam Kumar son of Channi Ram and Pankaj Kumar son of Kaka Ram , both residents of Omarah Morh Udhampur. Both of them were arrested on the spot.
In this connection, a case FIR number 447/2018 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered in PS Udhampur and further investigation of the case is taken up.
