SRINAGAR, Dec 20: Police today said to have recovered heroin-like substance from two passengers who were travelling in a Sumo in Dachi area of Uri. Police said that a routine Naka was established by Uri police in front of BOP Dachi when around 11 am a Sumo vehicle bearing registration No JK05D6531 was stopped and the passengers were frisked During that “two packets of heroin like substance were recovered from possession of two persons namely one Irfan Ah Mir S/o Habibullah Mir and Irshad Ahmed Pood S/o Mohammad Sharif Pood both residents of Nambla Uri,” police said.
In this regard, police said, case FIR No. 174 /20 under Section 8/ 21 & 29 NDPS Act stands registered in Police Station Uri.
