SMVDSB announces two packages for yatris

JAMMU, June 11: The helicopter services from Jammu capital city to Bhawan cave shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi in Trikuta hills of Reasi district will commence from June 18.
The move comes as part of Shrine Board’s continued endeavours to streamline the pilgrimage and provide better facilities to the devotees coming to pay their obeisance at the cave shrine from across the globe.
“To provide better facilities, the Board has taken a decision to start helicopter services directly from Jammu to Bhawan from June 18,” SMVDB Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Anshul Garg told the Excelsior.
Garg said that allied facilities, including battery car seva, priority darshan, prasad and ropeway sevas, will be offered to the devotees under the package.

There will be two packages for the intending pilgrims—one of which will be available at the cost of Rs 35,000 per passenger and another at the cost of Rs 60,000 per passenger.
However, the flight will operate only when five pilgrims are booked, either a Group or individuals. Those applying for the package will be informed three days in advance about the booking.

In Rs 35,000 per person package (Same Day Return), the pilgrim will get helicopter ticket from Jammu to Bhawan and back, transport from Panchi helipad to Bhawan and back to helipad, priority darshan and one meal at Bhawan, passenger ropeway ticket and priority darshan at Bhairon Ji and Panchmewa Prasad box.
In Rs 60,000 per passenger package (Next Day Return), the pilgrim will get helicopter ticket from Jammu to Bhawan and back to Jammu, transport from Panchi helipad to Bhawan and back to helipad, priority darshan, accommodation and three meals at Bhawan, SSVP Arti, passenger ropeway ticket and priority darshan at Bhairon Ji and Panchmewa Prasad Box.
Notably, the helicopter service at present is available only between Katra and Sanjichhat.
Situated in the Trikuta hills of Reasi district, the Mata Vaishno Devi cave shrine is one of the most revered sites in Jammu and Kashmir, attracting nearly one crore devotees annually.
Till the month of May, pilgrimage to holy cave shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi Ji has crossed 4 million. The pilgrimage is witnessing heavy rush these days. Yatra to the cave shrine this year is expected to be close to 10 million like the previous year.
