JAMMU, Oct 22: The employees of Health Department associated with various organizations like Jammu Kashmir Driver and Cleaner Union (SHTO), Jammu Kashmir Ophthalmic Technician Association, Jammu Kashmir OT Technician Employee Association and Jammu Kashmir Dental Technicians’ Association today highlighted their burning demands.
The demands were highlighted by these associations in a joint press conference organized at office of Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees’ Association (JKMEF) in the office complex of Directorate of Health Services, Jammu.
Anoop Singh, RK Kotwal, Jaswinder Singh and Sanjay Khajuria—leaders of the four associations urged the Government to clear the pending DPC of all the employees of Health Department, provide risk allowances to all the health employees, ensure insurance of all the vehicles of Health Department, make amendment in SRO 20 at the earliest, remove pay anomaly of Opt Tech created vide Government Order No HME 254 of 1994 and change designation of Opt Tech as Opth Officer.
They also stressed for placement of OT Technician as incharge OT, filling of vacant post of Junior OT Technician, Superior OT Technician and Head OT Technician, registration of RDP (Registered Dental Practitioner) of Dental Technician, departmental training to all Dental Technicians as presto Dental Mechanic and removal of pay anomalies of drivers.
Further, all the leaders on behalf of their respective associations extended full support to the one-day protest dharna going to be organized by JKMEF on October 24 at Shashi Bala Memorial Park, Directorate of Health Services Complex, Jammu.
