SRINAGAR, Aug 29: Sham Lal Sharma, Minister for Health, Horticulture and Floriculture, called on N N Vohra, Governor, at Raj Bhavan here today.
During their meeting, the Governor and the Health Minister discussed issues relating to the functioning of the healthcare delivery system in the State and the utilization of resources available under the various Central and Centrally Sponsored Schemes for promoting healthcare.
The Governor stressed the vital importance of ensuring the effective delivery of satisfactory medical and healthcare services to all the people of the State.
Matters relating to the advancement of Horticulture and Floriculture sectors, which have a very high potential for generating surpluses and enlarging employment opportunities in the State, were discussed in the meeting.
