JAMMU, Nov 5: In the ongoing festival season, the demand for sweets and other food items in the market has increased but the Health Department, instead of ensuring availability of quality and hygienic food, has limited itself to collecting routine samples only.
This was stated by Shiv Sena Hindustan J&K president, Rajesh Kesri while addressing a press conference here today.
He said that as the demand for sweets continues to increase till Diwali, chances of wrong elements to take advantage of the situation also increases.
Kesri said that there should be focus on testing to ensure that quality raw materials like milk, Khoya, ghee, cheese etc are used for making sweets.
