JAMMU, Oct 21: In the much publicized Channi-Himmat gang rape case, High Court today directed the SSP Jammu and SHO Channi Himmat Police Station to file response to the petition filed by the prosecutrix seeking transfer of investigation to CBI or Crime Branch.
After hearing Advocate Aseem Sawhney appearing for the petitioner, Justice Janak Raj Kotwal issued notice to SSP Jammu and SHO Channi Himmat to file status report.
In the petition, the prosecutrix has levelled serious allegations against the working of the police.
