Srinagar, July 29: The State High Court today warned the coaching centers running in the Jammu city and other parts of the Jammu Division for not implementing court order of depositing Rs 10, 000 and Rs 7, 000 respectively within a period of 10 days before the Registrar Judicial of Jammu wing.
“All the owners and proprietors of coaching centers in Jammu city to deposit Rs 10, 000 within 10 days time with the Registrar Judicial of Jammu wing of this court similarly an amount of Rs 7, 000 by the owners of the coaching centers operating in others parts of the Jammu Division”, directed the division bench of Justice MH Attar and Justice Ali Mohammad Magrey to the coaching centers of Jammu.
Court said that out of 181 coaching centers inspected by the court committee 58 centers have not deposited the amount of Rs 10, 000 and Rs 7,000 before the court as they were directed in terms of earlier order and warned those centers for initiating action against them and directed them to deposit the amount within 10 days.
“The owners and proprietors of these tuition and coaching centers are directed to deposit the amount in terms of earlier court order within 10 days time before the Registry of the court. In case amount is not deposited it would be deemed that they are violating the court order and action will be initiated against them”, court said.
Court also directed the court committee which is consisting of two retired judges to visit the 28 coaching centers and submit their report before the court. These coaching centers have approached the court for allowing them to run their institutions as they in terms of court directions submitted the undertaking before the court and also deposited the fee.
The Court sought compliance report from Commissioner Secretary Education Department with a condition on him that in case he fails to file the same before next date then he shall appear in person before the court to ‘explain his position’.
The Education counsel sought time for filing of compliance report on behalf of Divisional Commissioner Jammu which the court granted after request made by the education counsel.
The Court has been apprised that on the pattern of court committee of two retired district Judges for Kashmir Division for inspecting the coaching centers, the court committee comprising Chowdhary Vidyasagar and Nazim-ud-Din is constituted by Jammu Division.
Court on December last year while taking serious note on operation of unregistered coaching centers had directed closure of all unregistered coaching centers running in the Valley which direction thereafter was extended to Jammu Division also and under the directions of court authorities headed by Div Coms of both Kashmir and Jammu closed those coaching centers.
