JAMMU, Dec 18: Both the wings of the High Court and several Subordinate Courts of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and Union Territory of Ladakh will have crèches in phased manner and in order to put in place a mechanism the Chief Justice has laid down guidelines.
As per the guidelines, the crèche facility can be utilized by the members of the Bar Associations practising at the High Court, in the concerned Subordinate Courts, registered clerks engaged by such advocates, Bar staff and officers and members of the staff of the Registry of the High Court and Ministerial staff members of the concerned court for their children.
The facility will be allowed for the children in the age group of 6 months to 6 years and the crèche will function from 8.30 am to 6.30 pm on all the working days from Monday to Saturday except holidays.
The crèche will have the services of trained or experienced staff for taking care of children and their safety and will have sleeping facility for children, activity and dining area, essential play material, teaching and learning material and music system for playing rhymes to meet the needs of pre-school children and also in the age group up to 6 years.
