HC stays transfer order of JU Registrar

JAMMU, Jan 15: The High Court has stayed a transfer order passed by the Jammu University Registrar.
The stay was given on transfer of Amit Mahajan who has filed the petition seeking direction in the nature of writ of certiorari quashing order issued by Jammu University Registrar under endorsement no. Estab.21/27861-68 dated 27.12.2021 whereby the petitioner, working as System Analyst in the Centre for IT Enabled Services and Management of JU has been sought to be transferred to the Department of Computer Science & IT alongwith post.
Terming the transfer order totally illegal, arbitrary and actuated with malafide and extraneous considerations and further in the nature of writ of mandamus commanding, the petitioner sought direction to the respondents to allow him to continue serving as System Analyst in the Centre for IT enable Service & Management without any hindrance, obstruction.
The matter was listed before Justice Puneet Gupta and after hearing the Counsel Sumit Nayyar for the petitioner , High Court passed the order: “ Till next date of hearing before the bench, the order impugned dated 27.12.2021 passed by respondent number 1 (JU Registrar) shall remain stayed.”
