JAMMU, June 17: High Court has stayed the selection process for the post of Assistant Professor Urdu advertised by Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University Rajouri vide advertisement notification dated May 29, 2015.
After hearing Advocate Sheikh Shakeel Ahmed appearing for the petitioner namely Dr Mushtaq Ahmed Wani, Justice Janak Raj Kotwal observed, “petitioner’s grievance is that post of Assistant Professor Urdu in BGBSU has been advertised again vide impugned advertisement notification dated May 29, 2015 without completing the selection process pursuant to earlier advertisement notification No BGBSU/Estab/11/3779-3799 dated July 22, 2011”.
“Petitioner’s contention is that he had been selected under the earlier notification and had also submitted NOC from the Education Department where he is presently serving”, Justice Kotwal said.
After considering the submissions of Advocate Ahmed, Justice Kotwal issued notice to the Vice Chancellor and Registrar BGBSU returnable within four weeks for filling their response. In the meantime till next date before the bench, Justice Kotwal stayed the selection process qua the post of Assistant Professor Urdu.
