JAMMU, Feb 1: In a petition filed by Dedhra Singh and Ors who belong to Reserved Category of RBA challenging the short listing issued by SSRB for the post of Physical Education teacher of District Reasi and the short list is not sustainable in eyes of law as it is against the decentralization rules of 2010 as against the 49 vacancies of Physical Education Teachers pursuant to the advertisement, SSRB should have listed 245 candidates for interview by applying ratio of 5:1 or 147 candidates should have been called for interview by the SSRB but they have short listed only 52 candidates that is against the mandate of ratio provided in the rules and as such same is discriminatory.
Justice Hasnain Massodi of J&K High Court Jammu Wing after hearing Adv ZA Mughal appearing for the petitioners issued notice to Commissioner/ Secretary Technical Education and SSRB through its Secretary and meanwhile directed the selection process shall not be finalized till next date of hearing.
