HC stays allotment of LPG/Petrol/Diesel outlets

JAMMU, Sept 13: High Court today stayed the allotment of LPG/Petrol/Diesel outlets in Thanamandi till further orders.
The stay was granted in a petition filed by Mohd Maqbool and others against the notification for selection of agencies under Rajiv Gandhi Gramin LPG Vitrak scheme to the extent it pertains to Thanamandi area on the ground that notification was published in a newspaper having no circulation in Thanamandi.
“Due to this we are deprived of opportunity to apply for allotment of LPG/Petrol/Diesel outlets under RGGLV scheme”, the petitioners said.
After hearing Senior Advocate MK Bhardwaj, Justice Bansi Lal Bhat issued notice returnable within two weeks. In the meanwhile, subject to objections from other side and till next date of hearing, impugned notification dated May 4, 2013 to the extent it pertains to selection of agencies for allotment of LPG/Petrol/Diesel outlets under RGGLV scheme at Thanamandi was stayed.
