SRINAGAR, July 21: High Court has directed the State Government to provide detailed information about those doctors who after undergoing MBBS training in GMC Srinagar as well as in Jammu and got appointed in the Government services have abandoned their services and are not presently working in the State.
The direction was passed in a petition filed by one Dr Bilquis Khan, whose service was terminated after she remained on unauthorized absence for quite long time, seeking re-induction into the service.
“The respondent-State shall provide detailed information about all these doctors who have undergone MBBS training course in GMC Srinagar and Jammu and who, after their appointment in the Government services, have abandoned the posts and are not presently working in the State”, Justice MH Attar said.
High Court also sought affidavit from the Commissioner Secretary Health in this regard as also the affidavit from the petitioner indicating therein that she was ailing and was not outside the State. “If the affidavit is not filed by the petitioner within the stipulated period, then appropriate orders will be passed in the case”, Justice Attar said.
