JAMMU, Jan 10: Vacation Judge of High Court Justice Puneet Gupta has kept in abeyance the sentence awarded to Janak Singh, the then Tehsildar Recovery by the Trial Court in a Disproportionate Assets (DA) case.
After hearing Senior Advocate Sunil Sethi with Advocate GS Thakur, Justice Puneet Gupta also granted bail with the direction to furnish personal bond to tune of Rs 50,000 and surety bond of the like amount to the satisfaction of the Registrar Judicial/Joint Registrar (Judicial).
On December 28, 2021, Special Judge Anticorruption while deciding 13 years old corruption case, awarded three years Rigorous Imprisonment and fine of Rs 2 lakh to Janak Singh in disproportionate assets case.
