JAMMU, Dec 19: Division Bench of High Court comprising Chief Justice Gita Mittal and Justice Rajesh Bindal has granted one last opportunity to the respondents to place on record compliance report subject to the payment of cost of Rs 50,000.
The cost has been imposed in a contempt petition filed by Sandeep Gupta, who had grievances that the judgment dated 24.09.2018 passed in LPA No. 128/2018, directing the respondents to consider the matter of selection to the post of Junior Engineer on contract basis and to re-determine the matter afresh, has not been complied with till date.
“The compliance report shall be filed within two weeks from today. The costs shall be paid at the first instance by the Power Development Department, which shall be recovered from the officers who were to comply with the directions”, the DB said, adding “proof of payment of costs shall accompany with the compliance report”.
“Let copy of this order be sent to the Chief Secretary of Union Territory of J&K for information”, the DB added.
