JAMMU, Sept 14: In a petition filed by one Sham Lal seeking constitution of Special Investigation Team in the murder of his son, High Court today directed SSP Jammu to obtain the record of the investigation from the Nagrota Police Station and appear in person on September 27.
During the course of hearing, Advocate Sudershan Sharma submitted that investigating officer has failed to achieve any headway in the investigation for the last more than a year.
After hearing counsel, Justice Janak Raj Kotwal observed, “there is no representation on behalf of the respondents and despite direction issued by this court SHO Police Station Nagrota is not present in person”.
Accordingly, Justice Kotwal directed SSP Jammu to obtain the record of investigation from the Police Station Nagrota and appear in person on next date of hearing.
