JAMMU, Sept 19: High Court today directed SSP Jammu to constitute a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to trace the kidnapped minor girl
The direction was passed in a petition filed by father of minor girl seeking direction to Police Department to secure the release of her daughter from illegal custody of the private respondents immediately and produce her before court.
In the petition, it has been submitted that minor daughter of the petitioner has been kidnapped and is in the illegal detention of the respondents. The petitioner submitted that he has already lodged a under FIR No.101/2016 u/s 363/109/343 RPC on 30.06.2016 with the Police Station Nowabad but the Police is hand in glove with the private respondents and despite passing of almost two months, it has failed to secure the release of his daughter from the illegal detention of the private respondents.
After hearing Advocate Vishal Sharma appearing for the petitioner whereas Senior AAG SS Nanda appearing for the State, Justice B S Walia directed SSP Jammu to constitute a SIT to conducts raids at places wherever there is likelihood of petitioner’s daughter being found and file status report before next date of hearing.
