Srinagar, July 14: High Court today issued a circular impressing upon the personal staff of the Judges of High Court for conducting hearing of urgent cases through Video Conferencing (VC) at the residences of judges and warned of any deviation in this regard.
A circular has been issued by the Registrar General of High Court Jawad Ahmad in which it has been impressed upon all the concerned that no technical staff of e-Courts shall be employed in conducting the Video Conferencing at the residences of the Judges for hearing of the urgent matters through virtual mode.
“It shall be the sole responsibility of the personal staff attached to the each Judge to conduct the VC at the residence of the Judge and any deviation found will be viewed seriously”, reads the circular.
The circular has been issued in compliance to the earlier instructions given by Chief Justice and in pursuance to the earlier order of Registrar General. In this regard training was also imparted to the personal staff of the judges to facilitate them to hear the urgent matters through virtual mode.
However, it has come to the notice to CJ that personal staff still continues to employ the technical staff of e-courts in conducting VCs for hearing of the cases at the residences of the judges, which the Registrar General said, is in violation of the instructions of CJ and the order.
To keep engaged the technical staff of e-Court for conducting the VCs for the hearing the urgent matters, which otherwise is the responsibility of the personal staff of judges, the technical issues, Registrar General said, remain unaddressed.
