SRINAGAR, Apr 28: High Court today directed the coaching centers operating within the city limits and outside the city to deposit the fee of Rs 10, 000 and Rs 7, 000 respectively within one week before the Registrar Judicial or face action.
The court while hearing a PIL seeking directions against the erring and unregistered coaching centers, directed for depositing of fee in terms of previous orders passed by the court before the Registrar Judicial.
“The institutions who have not deposited the fee in terms of previous orders, shall deposit the same within week’s time from today before the Registrar Judicial. In default we will proceed against them”, directed the Division Bench of Justice MH Attar and Justice Ali Mohammad Magrey.
Earlier, a committee of two retired District Judges was constituted by the court to verify the statement of those coaching centers who filed undertakings before Registrar Judicial indicating therein that they shall abide by the regulations and court orders while running their centers.
The committee has filed its status report with regard to inspection of coaching centers in a sealed cover but the same could not be opened due to paucity of time and court said the same will remain the Registrar Judicial till next date of hearing of the matter.
Court also directed another committee headed by Divisional Commissioners of both Kashmir and Jammu to accord consideration for registration to those centers who have applied for registration of their centers after December 14 last year keeping in view of court orders and Rules of 2010.
