JAMMU, Oct 2: High Court today directed the State to take necessary steps vis-à-vis fixing single criteria for the appointments against the posts of Teaching Assistants.
The direction was passed in a petition filed by Suresh Kumar and others challenging the different criteria fixed by the State for making appointment for the posts of Teaching Assistants.
When the petition came up for hearing, Advocate General submitted that State may come up with fresh advertisement notification in which the criteria will be reflected and those who have already applied would not have to apply afresh.
Upon this, Justice Dhiraj Singh that be that as it may, let the needful be done as has been stated by the Advocate General within period of two weeks. “The pendency of this petition will not prevent State to take the necessary action”, the High Court made it clear.
