JAMMU, Feb 3: High Court has designated virtual courts for traffic challans in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
“On the recommendations of the IT Committee and subsequently approved by the Chief Justice, two Traffic Courts have been designated as virtual courts for traffic challans”, reads an order issued by Jawad Ahmed, Registrar General.
The Court of Special Mobile Magistrate (Traffic) Jammu has been designated as virtual court for Jammu division and Presiding Order of the court has been designated as Nodal Officer for reconciliation of transactions daily with the J&K Bank and authorizing the bank to transfer the fine collected at the end of the day to the Government treasury after such reconciliation.
Similarly, the Court of Special Mobile Magistrate (Traffic) Srinagar has been designated as virtual court for Kashmir division.
