Hatli Morh residents scared of burglars strikes

KATHUA, Feb 12: The residents of Hatli Morh area in Kathua district are scared of due to continued burglars’ strikes and they are passing through sleepless nights.
The strike by burglars has become a routine affair in the area. As per reports last night a burglar strike took place in the area and the burglars decamped with costly valuables including Gold and Jewellery from the House of Kulwinder Singh. The family was out of station to attend a function.
When they came back last night, they were shocked to see as the house was ransacked. The main room lock was broken and the things in Almirah were scattered here and there. The valuable item as 13 Tolas of Gold ornaments, 50 Tola silver ornaments, 1000 silver coin, Rs 7000 cash and important documents were missing from the Almirah. The owner of house Kulwinder Singh said that they lost the whole property in burglars strike. He alleged that this area is now not safe for residence.
A police team reached on the spot and started investigation. It is mentioned here that during the past few days number of burglar strikes have taken place in Hatli Morh area. The burglars had decamped with valuable items from their houses and police did not succeed to solve the pending theft cases so far.
