NEW DELHI, Aug 23: Haryana Minister of Finance, Revenue & Disaster Management, Excise & Taxation, Planning, Law & Legislative, Institutional Finance & Credit Control, Consolidation and Rehabilitation, Captain Abhimanyu called on Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), MoS PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances, Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space, Dr Jitendra Singh, here and discussed wide range of issues related to the State.
Dr Jitendra Singh complimented Haryana for becoming one of the first States in North India to have a Nuclear Power installation at Gorakhpur. With this plant becoming functional, he said, not only there will be a cost-effective source to meet the increasing energy needs, but, at the same time, this will also pave the way for more such installations to be established in Northern part of India which were earlier mostly confined to South India.
Captain Abhimanyu gave a resume of fast-track development witnessed by the State of Haryana during the last two years under the BJP-led Government. He said, Haryana, including Gurgaon and other neighboring areas, have, of late, emerged as one of the favorite destinations for foreign investment and the Government is doing everything possible to facilitate ease of business and industrialization. He also discussed the Government’s plans to further promote industrialization.
Referring to various Central schemes, Captain Abhimanyu informed that Haryana is a frontline State in implementing most of the new initiatives introduced by Modi Government over the last two years. He referred to remarkable progress achieved in “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao” programme, and also in bringing about an effective control on female foeticide, thus resulting in balancing of the male-female ratio.
Captain Abhimanyu also brought to the notice of Dr Jitendra Singh, some of the State-related issues pertaining to civil services and other matters related to the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), to which Dr Jitendra Singh assured of an expeditious follow up and action.
