Harshdev alleges neglect of major Jammu projects

JAMMU, Jan 28: National Panthers Party MLA Harshdev Singh held an extensive tour of Raipur-Domana constituency and held a series of public meetings at various places including Raipur, Balwal, Seri and Dhar Darocha.
Mr. Singh who had started the membership drive in the said area was apprised of the local issues by a number of deputations who met him during the course of his tour. A large number of people on the occasion expressed their faith in the NPP and its leadership and pledged their support to the party in its crusade against discrimination, corruption, communalization and criminalization.
Addressing gatherings at various places, Mr. Singh re-iterated the resolve of the party to fight for the honour and dignity of Dogra land and to ensure equitable share to the people of Jammu Pradesh in various fields. He regretted that Jammu region continued to be deprived of its due and legitimate share in development, employment, devolution of funds, admissions in professional institutions, allocation of Assembly and Parliament seats etc. Castigating the Jammu based Ministers for playing a second fiddle to Kashmir leadership; he said they had betrayed the interests of Jammu region for petty political gains. He flayed the Govt for its apathy and neglect of up-gradation of Jammu Airport construction of Jammu International convention complex, Mubarkh Mandi Heritage and Cable Car Project besides other significant schemes despite the same having been sanctioned several years back.
Dwelling upon the local issues, NPP leader drew the attention of the Govt. towards poor civic amenities in Bhalwal Block despite it being a part of Jammu tehsil. He sought early action for supply of adequate potable drinking water in Bhalwal besides upgradation of PHC Bhalwal and provisions of adequate staff and equipments in the said health institution. He sought early electrification of left out houses of Dhar Dharocha besides argumentation of power supply in the said area.
