UDHAMPUR, Sept 26: Former Minister and MLA Ramnagar, Harshdev Singh today inaugurated a motorable bridge over Haripur Nallah in tehsil Majalta.
Constructed at a cost of Rs. 65.00 lakh the bridge has been completed in a record time by the R&B Department and would benefit over 10000 people of the adjoining villages which include Kheetel, Dangu, Jansal, Jagwal, Haripur and Thial.
On the occasion, Harshdev Singh issued instructions to the officers of PWD Department to ensure black topping of Kheetel-Jansal Road within three months. During his visit of the Majalta Area, he inspected number of road links being constructed under PMGSY which mainly include Larey to Sumal road, Majalta-Chatrari road, Pueni-Tajoor road, Swalta road and Channi-Padey road. On the occasion, he announced three hand pumps for village Dadao, upper Jansal and lower Jansal and Rs. 2.50 lakh for the construction of Tractor Road at ST Basti from Jansal to Janakha.
While inspecting school buildings being constructed under SSA, the MLA instructed the officers of the Education Department for their time bound completion.
MLA visited the Mansar Bazar and instructed the concerned officers of PWD to black top the surrounding road of the Bazar immediately so that locals in general and tourists in particulars may not face any inconvenience. He also asked the officers of Rural Development Department to take up different works under MGNREGA and ensure their completion at the earliest.
