MENDHAR, June 9: The villagers from Harni are facing acute shortage of water for the last two months while the concerned PHE authorities have failed to provide any relief to the people of this area.
The villagers from Harni and especially from Firozalla and Kot Firozalla Mohalla, have alleged that after the motor at local pumping station went out of order, the water supply in the entire area has been badly hit. The motor could not be repaired despite repeated requests to the concerned field staff and the public has been left to suffer for the last over two months. The locals have sought the intervention of SDM Mendhar and DC Poonch in this regard as the concerned officers at Mendhar Sub Division have remained unconcerned over the issue. They also demanded shifting of the local PHE field staff.
