BILLAWAR, July 27: Hari Prabhu Sanstha celebrated its ninth foundation day at Hari Prabhu Ashray, Nagrota Gujro, teshil Billawar in a enthusiastic and traditional manner.
The observations of the day started with hawan and brief account of the activities and programmes, which were hightlighted by Jag Mohan Gupta, president of the Sanstha. This day is celebrated every year to take stock of progress made in achieving its aims/objective for which this Sanstha was constituted eight years back in July 2004.
Besides holding cultural programme and folk Dogri songs and Pakhan, the main feature of the day was to give three wheel chairs to handicapped students, giving mementos to meritorious students and distribution of scholarship amounting to Rs 25,000 to five poorest and meritorious students sanctioned by SBI Ramkot under their “Girl child adoption schemes”
