JAMMU, Sept 21: A notorious and hardcore criminal was today arrested and slapped with the Public Safety Act (PSA) by the district administration on the directions of a senior police officer.
Rohan Thapa alias Kallu, a resident of Gorkha Nagar, Jammu, who remained involved in a dozen cases of attempt to murder, criminal assault and thefts was today arrested and booked under PSA.
“The PSA was duly recommended by SSP Jammu and order was passed by DC Jammu,” said a police spokesman.
He said the detention order was executed by Inspector Ravinder Singh Rakwal, SHO police station Bagh-e-Bahu under the close supervision of SSP Jammu, Uttam Chand.
“The detainee has been logged in Central Jail, Kot Bhalwal, Jammu”, he added.
