JAMMU, May 30: RS Pura Police arrested a hardcore criminal-cum-absconder after two years.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Police Station RS Pura led by SI Ranjit Singh and assisted by PSI Divanshu Dutt under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Shabir Khan conducted various suspected locations and finally arrested a hardcore criminal-cum-absconder, who was evading his arrest from the past 2 years.
The arrested accused was identified as Davinder Kumar alias Rahul, son of Darshan Lal of Chak Mohammad Yar RS Pura. One sharp edge weapon was also recovered from him.
He was involved in cases registered under FIR Numbers 96/21 under Sections 458, 427, 336, 504, 506, 147 and 148 IPC and 4/25 Arms Act and 3/2019 under Sections 307, 341, 323 and 147 IPC and 4/25 Arms with Police Station RS Pura. Previously he was also detained under Public Safety Act.
It is pertinent to mention here that accused is involved in 9 FIRs ranging from attempt to murder, scuffles, thefts etc.
Further investigation is going on to enquire about various activities the criminal had been involved into since two years.
