Hanjura meets Kerala Agriculture Minister

KERALA, Sept 8: Minister for Agriculture Ghulam Nabi lone Hanjura, who is on tour of Kerala,  today met with Agriculture Minister of Kerala and discussed various issues relating to development and promotion of agriculture  and allied sectors by sharing resources to achieve goals  in agriculture production.
Both the Ministers agreed to work together for mutual benefits in spice production.  They decided  that spice producers have to adopt new strategies to increase spice production.
Hanjura directed Managing Director, J&K Agro Industry Development Corporation (AIDC) to get in touch with the MD AIDC Kerala for supply of Kashmiri saffron to Kerala.
Hanjura visited spice park and e-auction facility centre at Idukki. He also interacted with senior officers of Kerala Agriculture Department and other stake holders and got first hand appraisal of activities being carried out by the department for the promotion of agriculture production.
Visiting cardamom plantation centre, Hanjura interacted with growers of cardamom and  was briefed about the facilities being provided to them at the centre.
During the visit to Idukki, Hanjura distributed certificates among trainees of agriculture department Kashmir who have been undergoing training  at Spice Training Institute, Kerala.
Principal Secretary Agriculture Production Department, Director Agriculture, Kashmir and Managing Director, J&K Agro Industry Development Corporation accompanied the Minister during the tour.
