Hang culprits of Nemawar incident in MP: AJKDCM

JAMMU, July 5: All J&K Dalit Chetna Manch (AJKDCM) has demanded that culprits involved in the incident of murder of five members of a particular category in Dewas district of MP should be hanged to death.
Talking to media persons here today, Sham Lal Basson, president of the Manch said that the crime against SC, ST, OBCs is increasing day by day in the country. The latest case of village Nemawar of Dewas district in Madhya Pradesh is glaring example where five members of a family were strangled to death and dumped in an 8-10 ft deep pit. The police could not take prompt action for 45 days. He demanded that rest of family members need immediate protection.
He alleged that in most of states of country wedding processions are not allowed and grooms are not allowed to ride horse during wedding processions. A groom from Dalit community was forced to get down horse at Bhilwara in Rajasthan, college lecturer namely Naresh Vankar from north Gujarat was provided police protection- one SP, one inspector, five sub inspectors and 60 constables; three wedding processions were halted in Sabarkantha district of Gujarat, more than 300 security persons were provided to Dalit groom at Kasganj in Uttar Pradesh, wedding procession was also halted at Mandsour district of Madhya Pradesh.
He alleged that mostly criminal cases are not registered as per provisions of SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act. The crimes are also increasing in JK UT. Many cases of atrocities have been occurred in Udhampur district especially in Ramnagar area, recent case atrocity in Malhad village. Another case of atrocity with SC girl in Akhnoor area. The cases of atrocities like Una in Gujarat, case of Manisha in Hathras, case of Nemawar village in Dewas district of Madhya Pradesh may be heard in fast-track courts and culprits be hanged.
Other members like- Bharat Hans, Som Raj Taroch, Dr Vijay Shivgotra and Tara Chand Sambyal also accompanied.
