Hakla urges CM to allocate sufficient funds for Gujjar- Bakerwals

POONCH, Dec 24: Gujjar leader Shamsher Hakla Poonchi has appealed the Chief Minister and Finance Minister of J&K State to allocate sufficient funds for the welfare and upliftment of Gujjar Bakerwal community of J&K State in the financial budget 2018.  Hakla said that Gujjar Bakerwal community of J&K mostly resides in hilly, far flung and mountainous areas, which are lacking in facilities like road communication, electricity, water supply schemes, medical facilities and educational facilities thus putting them in lots of hardships and troubles.  “The needs and the problems of Gujjar- Bakerwal are quite different from other communities of J&K State because of their unique way of life and culture,” he said and added that because of social, educational, economical and political backward of the community, the State Government must allocate sufficient funds for their welfare and upliftment of Gujjar-Bakerwals.
