Habitual drug peddler arrested with intoxicants

JAMMU, Apr 6: Police arrested a habitual drug peddler along with intoxicant capsules and tablets from Gole Market area, falling under the jurisdiction of Gandhi Nagar police station.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Gandhi Nagar police station laid a naka at Gole Market and intercepted a motorcycle bearing registration number JK02AL-9025.
During checking, police recovered 210 intoxicant capsules and 360 tablets from the possession of the rider and arrested him on the spot.
The accused has been identified as Pawan Kumar alias Parveen, son of Kasturi Lal of Rehari Colony.
A case under FIR Number 82/16 under Section 8/21/22 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic (NDPS) Act has been registered at Gandhi Nagar police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Gandhi Nagar DySP (P) Mir Imtiyaz and assisted by SI Tariq Ahmed made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO South Sachin Gupta and SP South Shaazad Salaria.
