UDHAMPUR, Apr 18: The Jammu and Kashmir Police have detained a habitual bovine smuggler under the stringent Public Safety Act (PSA) in Udhampur district.
Lakhit Ali alias Liaqat Ali of Ser Manjla, Mahni, Ramnagar, has been arrested for his involvement in multiple cases related to the bovine smuggling, a police official said.
Since his activities were posing threat to the peace in the area, he was booked under PSA on the orders of the District Magistrate Udhampur and lodged in jail, he said.
