JAMMU, Apr 15: The Union Government has appointed Syed Haamid Bukhari as the Registrar of Companies (ROC) for the Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. An officer of the Indian Corporate Law Service, Bukhari was selected through the UPSC Civil Services Examination in 2016 and brings several years of administrative experience to the post.
A resident of Jammu and Kashmir, Bukhari has an academic background in management and law. He completed his studies at IUST Awantipora, pursued a postgraduate degree in Business and Allied Laws from NLSIU Bangalore, and later studied Politics and International Relations at JNU, New Delhi. Over the past eight years, he has held various assignments with the Government of India, both in Srinagar and New Delhi.
