JAMMU, Feb 1: Governor Satya Pal Malik today carried out yet another reshuffle in the portfolios of his Advisors following appointment of Skandan Krishnan as the fourth Advisor recently.
Malik had carried out reshuffle of portfolios among his Advisors on November 10 after joining of Kewal Krishan Sharma as the new Advisor and again on December 29 after the exit of BB Vyas following his appointment as Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) member.
Today’s reshuffle was third in less than three months.

An official ordered issues by the Government said Advisor K Vijay Kumar will continued to hold charge of the Home Department while papers related to the General Administration Department will be submitted by Chief Secretary BVR Subrahmanyam directly to the Governor. In view of this, charge of the prestigious GAD hasn’t been allocated to any of the four Advisors.
Newly appointed Advisor Skandan Krishnan, who had served as Secretary in the Union Ministry of Home Affairs for five years from 2007 to 2012 handling Kashmir, has been allocated the portfolios of Information Technology, Industries & Commerce, Transport, Animal/Sheep Husbandry, Law, Justice & Parliamentary Affairs, Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation & Re-construction, Agriculture/ Horticulture and Elections.
Apart from Home, Advisor K Vijay Kumar will hold charge of Forest, Ecology & Environment, Health & Medical Education, Youth Services & Sports, Hospitality & Protocol, Civil Aviation, Estates and Information.
Advisor Khurshid Ganai will have charge of the Departments including School Education, Higher Education, Haj & Auqaf, Technical Education, Floriculture, Cooperative, Tourism, Culture, Social Welfare, Labour & Employment, Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Tribal Affairs and ARI & Trainings.
Advisor Kewal Sharma will hold charge of Public Works, PHE, Irrigation & Flood Control, Power Development Department, Finance, Housing and Urban Development, Science and Technology, Planning Development & Monitoring Department.
