UDHAMPUR, Apr 23: For smooth conduct to the functions to commemorate 619th “Parkash Utsav” of Sad Guru Kabir Sahib within and outside the district, a meeting was convened under the chairmanship of Sad Guru Kabir Sabha(SGKS), Udhampur, under the chairmanship of Ved Parkash, here today.
The meet discussed all necessary arrangements, which include Shobha Yatra, announcement, publicity, security arrangements, drinking water, honour of meritorious students, sanitation, decoration of Kabir Mandir, Langar Parsad etc.
Ved Parkash informed that the main function of “Parkash Utsav” of Sad Guru Kabir Sahib will be celebrated on June 11, 2017 at Kabir Mandir, Baryal near Air Force Station Udhampur. The Sabha would also celebrate “Parkash Utsav” of Sad Guru Kabir Sahib within and outside the district on different dates which including Bhagta in Katra on June 18, 2017 , Tehsil Majlata on June 23., 2017 and Village Mali in Panchari on June 25, 2017 respectively.
Shobha Yatra will be taken out on June 11, 2017 which will start from Venus Chowk Udhampur at 9. 00 am sharp. Sabha is also going to honour the meritorious students who excel in academic and professional examinations.
