POONCH, July 9: A meeting of the traders/shopkeepers was held at Iqbal Chowk Khan market S.K Bridge on wednesday evening.More than 150 traders/shop keepers from Khan Market S.K Bridge and shopkeepers /traders across road connecting the Christ School to S.K bridge attended the meeting in which a new body of Traders Association was formed.
Gurdeep Singh Saraf has been unanimously elected as the president of the association.Other Senior traders and businessmen Lala Manzoor,Maqsood Khan,Jagdev Singh,Mahinder Singh, Pritpal Singh Romi also attended the meeting.
During the meeting it was decided that the next general body meeting of the association will be held next week and chief advisor, vice president and general patron will be chosen.
The president thanked Deputy Commissioner Poonch for taking a historic decision of new bus stand near S.K bridge. He said this will usher in a new era of development in poonch and not only it will reduce the traffic congestion in the city but also provide new job opportunities in the hard times of economic stagnation.
